Ventilation preview!
The two long walls (7’ wide each) and one of the short walls (5’ wide) will have ventilation openings like this spanning the whole width, and 6 inches tall. There will be no ventilation on the 4th wall (north). I’m thinking of giving some of them flaps to close during storms... Would that be sufficient for the year-round ventilation? The two windows can be opened in the summer as well, for a roost-level breeze. End goal is 3-4 chickens, but I will briefly have more at the beginning until I know which to cull.

Good idea, top hinged...would act as roof overhangs, so to speak, when propped open.
Yeah, I’m actually thinking of giving all of them extra big top hinged flaps even if I’ll never need to close them, just to use them as awnings and compensate for my restricted roof overhangs...

All the walls are up and painted. I found some more curbside goodies last night - some nice-looking 1x3 boards, enough to trim out both windows, and some checkered fabric I’ll use to make curtains for the windows, because why not :D

The hunt for rib steel roofing panels continues...

Looks great . Trim will really dress it up . Hope you find roofing soon , that's very frustrating .

I had help :D I taught my preschoolers how to use the nail gun and they helped me nail the wall panels to the frame (with help and supervision of course). We had a blast!
