HI,
I built out coop about a month ago now. I have been using 2 of the pet carrier type of units as nesting boxes. They are placed on the floor so they keep getting full of bird waste.

I can build any size box at any height in the coop, and am looking for suggestions on something that the birds will use and something that is less likely to get messed up so quickly. I was thinking about placing the nesting boxes up near the ceiling, around 6', but don't know if this would be a problem for the birds for any reason.

I really just want the nesting boxes for them to lay there eggs in, not for them to nest in.

Thanks
Jamie

they shouldent be 6' high thats to high you need them at least 2.5 feet off the ground .. are they laying during the day in the nesting boxs or at night ?? do they have a place to roost at night that is a lil higher then nesting boxs hope everything works out !
