Building new coop

It's about 5inch wide 6 inches deep. It's more of a deterrence from diggers than a footing total cost for concrete was like 15$ 3 bags

The golden comet roosters I have know were nasty and aggressive birds. Comets will not breed true so no reason to stick with one breed. If you want a rooster for a little eye candy in your flock get only one than get a more docile breed. Golden comet roosters are rather boring featherwise.
Your coop is going to be maxed out closer to 10 birds. In the heat less birds gives you better air flow. I would open the front with hardware cloth making it a 3 sided coop. The coop will get too hot in the summer and they won't use it. A hot hen is a stressed hen that does not lay to her potential. The ramp is also too steep. Place the end on a cinder block and flatten it out a bit.

6 x 8 is big enough for 15 birds. That is, if you give them lots of free run or range each day, properly raise them (ie, to be docile with you. Helps overall) and give them the correct diet. Use your roost space wisely and allow extra roost space, and it works just fine... with good management.

Does any one know any design's on how to make a homemade coop?

Really, can be anything as long as it follows adequate ventilation and room rules, has roosts, and nest boxes. Make it walk in, and with openable/closable ventilation... very useful. Also plan for more birds than you want. I planned for 4 sq ft/bird + 5 birds, so I can put 2 times as many birds as wanted with proper management.... that involves a lot. If you have not raised birds before I do not suggest trying to manage on limited space your first time. The more space the better. Otherwise health and prosperity problems arise.

i thought about adding boards that are an inch space between them for the coop.
