Building Our Coop - Follow Our Progress!

It looks like your on your way to one hella nice coop. Cant wait to see it finished.

Thanks guys - today will be a gorgeous day here in NH so we will be working on getting the roof complete. It will have that metal roofing stuff on it. Still trying to decide where to put windows, roost bar and nest boxes. Thinking the nest box on the wall closest to the house, window facing into the run and window facing the fence side. Vent window up high above nest box side and maybe one above the door as well. Trying to incorporate lots of ventilation that some can be shut down during the winter.

Our snow, here in Maine, is just going now. We started our coop before the big snow storm here too. I had to stare out the window at bare floor joists for over a week.

Now we are back in business.

The coop looks really nice and sturdy. I love your yard and the area looks beautiful there. Your chickens will be very happy.

Chickenrage - that is a really COOL coop you built! I LOVE IT! Trying to decide for ours if I want it to "blend" and keep it house, shed, treehouse color or make it POP - kinda scared for the whole pop factor for when we want to sell the house though.

Off to get productive - Home Depot run for much needed supplies!

Hubby got a lot of the roof structure completed yesterday while I worked (so no pictures) today we will have at it again and I will post pictures later in the day - stay tuned!!
