Great job. I saw a movie once called 'Earthling' and it was filmed in Queensland. The scenery was breathtaking. You must be in the northern part as the southern part is more temperate rather than semitropical.

Regards the coop, I see that you blocked all of the openings between the rafters. I would advise you to cut long skinny vents horizontally along the top of the front and back walls and screen them with hardware cloth mesh. You need ventilation to have healthy birds. I have 6 sq ft of permanent ventilation above my walls in a coop twice the size of yours, and I can see by the palm trees that it gets colder here than there. A turbine vent near the peak of the roof in it's center would be good too.

Ventilation is the most common thing that is ignored by so many.

We live in south east Queensland.

In the second photo in post #31 there is going to be two windows on that wall, a window above the door and a large window on the same side of the coop as the pop door. I am uploading a photo now.

How's it coming along? Do you have new pictures? I love your photos. I'm sure I'll never be able to make it to Australia, so I will just enjoy looking at your property there!

we also have two more smaller movable coops.

ETA, the area around the coops is messy because #1 we haven't actually finnished building the coops and #2 we are building their BIG run at the moment.
