Mearns quail. Not easy or cheap to get. So thankful for my investors. Also have been free ranging chickens in the front and have added about 10 female fibro chickens out back to my black meat project. Next year will be bigger then this year and hopefully more organized. Also just got our first egg from the silver Hmong chickens. Woot woot

IMG_5308.JPG

Just some fibro chickens free ranging out front. I guess they don't like the back.
IMG_5310.JPG

A good night at the investors house. I haven't ate a lot of sushi before but this was pretty good.

The above two pics are of the mearns quail. Very peaceful n docile birds. I love them so far.

Hatching has gone down dramatically since the pheasants have stopped and all the birds are in molt so very few eggs. Also something killed my redquill roosters on the tee pees. So I have been sleeping outside to catch the critter. Since the India kills I have not been subject to another death. Just bummed out that they got killed. Be back in a flash working on getting 3 dump trucks of sand chips and saw dust.

Since free ranging the chickens out front they have gotten a lot nicer looking and now perching in the trees also destroying most of the vegetation.
