Part of the front yard finally starting to dry up and have no snow. All the 3x3s have individual hens that have Ben mated now and have Ben cracked open to check for fertility. More done just haven’t got pics be back in a flash.
Ok the pallet wall has begun actually works really well and super cheap
And maybe just a little more snow. Grrrr
And the rooster party. About 50. Will be making pallet coops for the roosters and it will be 4x4’. Taking a break today and all of the roosters have been wormed. Ok I’m not gunna break still to much to do
So this device I found online is an automatic loading worming gun. So by the nozzle to the left of the red washer that’s where the material goes and is loaded from the bottle you screw in that attaches to the top 50 mL or 100 mL bottles are able to be used and a needle Point with the ball on it so you can put it down the birds throat and squeeze and then when you release it reloads the worming solution and the gun that I bought was a 2 mL auto dosing syringe . So in between the handle is a turn down which you can adjust more or less milliliters I have it set at a half a milliliter per bird so one squeeze equals one bird . Hope that makes sense
So when building you want to make ends meet for a fairly reasonable price . I’ve built big buildings little buildings and you get more and more efficient creating ways to be faster cheaper . So I found a place that gives out pallets for one dollar each I can fit 13 on the truck which makes four Of the individual 4 x 4 pens perfect for a hen that you want to sit on the eggs and go Broody. So I built a wall pallets and it’s still only halfway done and I will keep you guys updated on the pallet wall because I have a pretty cool idea. Right now there is 50 barrels all of them are marked and logged in the computer on what type of bird is in each barrel and the same goes for every pen that I have on the farm now . So as you can see the pallet is in front of the wall it will be connected to the wall and that is roughly the size and shape of how the pens are going to be
OK guys I got a little carried away this time so this Incubator only holds a little over 200 chicken eggs well I kind a want a little crazy when a little off-the-wall here and sit over 400 eggs at once
So don’t forget to worm your birds because no matter what people say you will have birds that will have worms it might not be a lot but there might be one or two
