building paradise for the birds

Pics
on the 3rd my polish(???) and barnyard mix chicks should hatch out and on the 17th my muscovy ducks should hatch out. Interesting note on my supposed polish as well, when i got the eggs i got them with the barnyard mix and they "polish" eggs were the right size but the eggs were a tan instead of white. So im curious to see what hatches out. The entire barnyard mix is half polish cause thats the only rooster she has, im wondering how good fertility is going to be, i'm gonna candle tonight when i get home.

ur fertility will do be great if the rooster is doing his job....I had a barred rock and Americana rooster and when I hatched my mixed chickens they were just fine...and they are actually healthier then the ones that you buy from a big hatcher...their legs are thicker and they look great...heres a pic of them now... jenny was one of the chicks I hatched....

all the new chickens were helping me that day....so don't worry they will be great...its your Christmas present....so have you been naughty or nice....if you have been nice...then you will have a great hatch...

finally the third wall wired in and the fourth wall cut...package should be here with in the hour....cant wait...that means the incubator will be done tonight....and tested and tommarow the eggs go in...im so excited....

well depending how much I have left and how wide your pens you could have what I have left...ill let you know what I have left when I am done....

also got the inside walls done and wired...thank god that took forever...the unit leans to the right a bit like an inch over twenty feet and that was not cool to put wire on..but I got it and now its done...hope you guys enjoy the pics....the bator parts should be here any second...
the wall that isn't so perfectly square and I couldn't get it square...drives me nutz

the center point of the coops....so there is going to be three doors inside this to get into each ten by ten

they were getting off the ground so their feetsies weren't so cold

yellow golden male getting its colors you can see the yellow on the top and back coming in

yellow and red golden...very good genetics..

another shot of the two birds....

im curious with all the people that raise the goldens and Amherst out there...do there tails get longer as they age...cause I was at a well known breeder in Michigan and his stocks tails were twice as long as these birds...and his birds were well over five years old....any thoughts

I am curious do pheasants have a call or song? they are sure pretty. My neighbor used to raise em for hunting....

What gauge wire are you missing? for what its worth the heavier the better.... My dad was one to build all sorts of stuff because he was an inventor.... He was always stripping down an extension cord to use it for wiring projects... as long as you get the ends labled to keep them straight its all good.

dc is different from ac...dc is low voltage ac is higher voltage....that's y you need a ac to dc converter to run the fans....you know what I mean
