building paradise for the birds

Pics
I will let everyone know that it is a done deal....just got off the phone with the department of agriculture guy named kris...who works in the import export part...and this is what he said to be legal for importing....if the person is npip certified all they have to do when they ship the birds is fill out the form vs 9-3 and everything is good however if they don't...you can import the birds and you and the receiver have 90 days to get a health certificate with the birds....and no you cant have any bird no matter what if they have had the vaccine ILT...hope this helps

THE CEMANI IS COMING....YAY AND I HAD TO GET RIDE OF A HOLE PEN OF RED GOLDENS SO THEY CAN HAVE THEIR PEN...

How many are you getting? Directly from Indonesia?

As I stated earlyier, they are just so expensive. I would love to get some eventually though :)

the number is going to vary based on the breeders numbers and how many they can send...there is such a high cull rate that if your maintaining the proper black bird you don't get vary many birds to be all black....not sure if people are aware of this...that's one of the reasons why they are so expensive...however nobody can get them from Indonesia right now...they have a ban on importing them...for disease reasons...so the breeders are here in the states...and yes they are pricy...the breeders don't want me to say what ill be getting them for as you know the market on them changes...a lot...one good amount should be here march and one set will be in april and not sure when the other one set will be here...going to be working on this bird with someone as well...and wont be selling any as this breeds needs to be perfect to yield good numbers before people should put this bird out there like some are doing...certain lines have small number culls while certain others have over 75-80 percent cull rate...so on ten 200 plus dollar birds only a couple will fit the all black category...so you have to get to know the breeder and see what they do and if they cull, paperwork, and where there birds came from...its very indepth when you find something like this...this bird has always been fascinating to me however I would say based on some of the breeders I have spoken to that it will take at least three generations before you will get really rocking and rolling with black birds.....so to speak...

That's the impression I got from a breeder that's local to me. They are very hard work as far as getting the all black go. Best of luck to you! That breed is a fantastic breed that will be worth the hard work!

well pics?
nope...changed the web browser, cleaned the computer from all history and cookies....contacted the adm. and still no dice...looks like im not the only one having troubles recently uploading photos...wonder what going on...grrr....rrrrrr...rrrrr...."im a peacock, you gotta let me fly"

Hmmmm no problem here, well loading pics anyway...the folks that owned that car were having serious problems one morning not long ago near my house.

oh wow...someone obviously didnt like them....that was there nice way of saying....move out of town
No, was a vehicle malfunction..... not arson, as far as I know.

They had been pulled over on the shoulder of the road for about a half an hour, several folks stopped to ask if they needed help(I assume) then drove off.
All of a sudden there was a loud pop and flames started at the right rear of car, snaked up towards the front then within 10 seconds the whole thing was 'fully engulfed' as they say. It kept popping and flaring, was quite the show right out my big east windows. Fire department finally put it out, then it was hauled away probably within a couple hours of it happening...nothing but a big black spot left on the side of the road.

So it just needs a little TLC and perhaps some duct tape and it will be all ok then??
