building paradise for the birds

Thought of you yesterday, saw some black sex link pullets with black combs, wattles, faces...wondered if they would use fibros for layer crosses.
They had some red tones but very, very dark...weird.
i am seeing alot of fibro mixes however i dont see very many pure fibro breeds....it is possible....i seen a white chicken that was a fibro bird...they were calling it something...which it was not..but i didnt want to be the downer and say no thats not what it is...just gotta let well enough be sometimes....i did butcher quiet a few fibro birds to see how black the insides were and what i found out is that the 5 dollar silkie has more black properties they these expensive fibro birds...and very few that you grow out stay all black...alot of leakage in the feathers and such....weird to see an all black bird just start growing a section of white on it

Very pretty birds!

X2 to that. I always love seeing the yellow Goldens and the color on that Hmong too is a trip. You said you were keeping the other one as a breeder do you have any females lined up for him yet. And what news of that shipment from GF. Your experience with them has left a sour taste in most of our mouths and as much as I like the birds that they "offer" I don't believe I'll be going through them any time soon.
