Building pop door asI type HOW BIG?

I'm making the pop door now and needed advice as to the size. 11 inches x 14 inches will work easiest with the way the coop is set up now. But will 11 inches wide be wide enough for RIR hens?

If that will be best for the space...then go for it.

I made mine 12"x12" and if it is too small then I will cut a larger one later.

Yea hard to describe why only 11" wide but any other opinions as to the width?

I have larger breeds so I chose 14" x 14". I think the studs were set 16" apart anyway.

If I go wider than it means running to Home Depot to get 1 more sheet of T-111 for the sheathing.

You can always rub them down with Crisco oil if it's a tight squeeze. I love chicken in Crisco. LOL
