Looking good! How did you attach the nest box? Does it open from the top?

Yes it will open from the top did not do the side walls on it or the door on top yet, and still need to do the 2 long side walls with the door for clean out and a chicken door on the other side and the paint, do trim and cover the roof with shingles.. so excited for it to be done!

And we put 1/4" hardware cloth for the gaps under the roofs.

Coming together! Have to still out up 2 walls one side will open for clean out and put roofing, paint and trim.

Well overall that is a bad design, I'd move the nest box to the run which in fact that is what I had to do as I copied the same bad design.

I would also remove the siding from under the upper roof and replace that with hardware cloth for better draft free ventilation.

...or at least hinge it so you can open up on decent days,
but shut them down during raging snow storms.
