Building tractor with raised coop on one end. Should floor be wire?

Wire floors are not good for heavy breeds..use plywood and cover it with linoleum. You can put a layer of pine shavings or hay on top of that and it will be easy to clean and not hurt their feet.

Looks nice. I don't understand why you did'nt build the coop end even with the ground. Is this so its easier to move??
For better protection you may want to consider putting hardware cloth on the lower part of your tractor. Also flare out some of the hardware cloth as a "skirt" to prevent the bad guys from digging in.

I like the fact you have used such heavy duty wire but think the holes are awfully big...seems that predators could get through the wire?

I used chicken wire laced with bamboo for the coop floor. So the droppings fall straight to the ground thus no clean up.
