Building up my first coop

I am going to go another route to save weight. I am going to use luan boar for the sides and tyvek it. Then I will do siding over top. I am probably going to do the top with 1/2" plywood and use a pneumatic staple gun to attach shingles. The bottom is probably going to be aluminum, possibly diamond plate. Depends on what is laying around at the machine shop.

I think it looks great

the only comment i have is, With the slope leaning toward the front won't you have a lot of rain or snow puddling where you go in and out? Would it be possible to slope it to the back?

I do not think so. I have been wrong before though. If it is a problem I'll do plywood and linoleum.

Nice coop

but don't forget to take note about the size! But it's still great.

I have to agree with the roof slope comment. It probably should have sloped to the back. You might want to think about a little gutter across the front to divert rain water.

Yeah, my buddy does gutters, I had considered that. It will not be a big deal. I could always make the door on the side, I have gone no further thus far.

H8mtv, thats looking good I have one I just completed thats a lot like it. I put plywood and lineoleum in for floor, and made a drawer to slide the floor out for cleaning and a wire cover under the roosts to keep em out of the big pooh piles. That may be an option for you! Let me know if you're interested and I can tell you how I did mine!
