So now that I know I have two roosters (only one pullet) I have to try to take them back to the farm. I had no way to transport because when I got them they were tiny. I looked online for chicken crates and they were way too big and way too expensive. I could have gotten a small dog crate though. But I decided to see if I could create my own that would be easy to carry 2 roos and with mostly what I had laying around. I did end up buying hardware cloth for about $6 but the rest was scrap wood. This is how it turned out. I'll be on my way to the farm tomorrow or Friday morning with my boys, hopefully will trade for a girl or two.

Good job on the crate! Have you built a coop too? Looks like you have the carpentry skills to make a nice one.

Good luck trading the roosters for a girl or two!
Thanks! I Did build my own coop. I bought one they quickly outgrew so I built the new one around it.
