Bulge below rectum, losing feathers

Several medical problems can cause fluid buildup in the abdomen. It can be from a heart problem or a cancer, for example. You might research internal laying, which may be the most common cause, at least in hatchery birds. I hope this turns out well for you.

Thats exactly how my sick chicken looks but its a lot redder and more painful looking. What can i do. Is it going to die?? Should i cull it and can it still be eaten. She is a Cornish Giant?

Well I guess i should go get the axe. My meat hen is not getting any better and is just suffering. She still has a big water bulge around the crop area and a painful looking red swelling below the vent area. Not lookin forward to putting one of my flock down when she's sick.
