Thanks everyone for your responses. I have done alot of research and found some great information....just wanted ot hear from those who know first hand. She will definately be obedience trained from the start. We had a Golden for almost 17 yrs who was just the best dog ever...because he was trained. I am firm believer in that.

Do these dogs drool a lot? I love dogs, but I have never been able to deal well with the drool. Give me blood or anything else and I'm fine, but drool makes me go

I love the look and temperaments of larger dogs, but I know some of them drool more than others!

Eventually I would like to get a large dog when I move into my own place after college. There are so many breed options though that I will definitely have a tough time choosing!
