Bull snakes dangerous?

I have 4 chickens and I am almost going to move them outside. I am constantly seeing bull snakes and was wondering if they're threat? Are they? Thanks!

You will need a very secure coop and run; they can then perhaps free range, as they get more mature, in daytime only. Make sure that only the chickens are in the coop at night, as they are easy to kill when roosting at night. Snakes are great rodent killers, and need to be OUT of the coop at all times. Mary
