Bulldogs? Now Dobermans?!

Hey thanks for the heads up. I'm still young so I do need every thing to think about but it will still be a while until I might get one.

Thanks everyone for the tips. I will definitely look for a trustworthy breeder when I do get old enough to start looking for one.

you will pay more for an animal from a trustworthy breeder, but trust me...it will be far cheaper than having elbows and hips surgically corrected.

Beware of the snorting snoring bulldog. I don't have an english but I do have a french and both breeds snore like crazy. But, ya gotta love them.

All of the above concerns, plus skin issues. They have so many wrinkles around the face and such which lots of times tend to stay moist.Creating a breeding ground for yeast and other bacterias.Be sure to keep his/her skin folds clean and dry. Also toes..Excessive drooling pools around toes, creating the same effect. Lots of Staph there too....

So true.

And farting. Bulldogs are not only the experts in this category, they're also the master of the "drive-by" fart. Still, we can't help but love 'em... but we do find that it helps sometimes to light a candle

Hahahah. I know! You have to love them. It's like you don't have a choice, they just melt your heart. LOL!
But the rest of my family thinks I'm crazy cause I love them. hehe

I don't have Bullys but I love them a BUNCH! I'm a definite Molossian fan (mastiff type). I do want to thank the folks on this forum for recommending buying from a REPUTABLE breeder! Sometimes also, breeders who are ethical, will have dogs available for re-homing if you pass the muster! A good breeder is a godsend to you as the owner and the animal you get from them.

Thanks again!!
