Bully chickens

the coop itself is 10ftx6ft and the attached run is 20ftx4ft, unfortunatly i cannot widen it at this point
 
Would make no difference if it was 100 foot long, if it's only four to six feet wide, and a subdominant bird sees a dominant bird walking it's way, it has to yield. If this makes it approach another dominant bird and enter it's three feet of personal space, it will suffer the consequences, and often cause the boss to step in and give extra punishment. That is the problem, the personal space thresholds increase from about 6 inches as young birds to about 3 or 4 feet as cantankerous old two or three year olds. It's like chess, the subdominant bird needs to yield to personal space of dominant birds without entering the personal space of other dominant birds.
