Here is the question. We have a beautiful jumbo Pekin - He takes protection duty seriously. However he is more aggressive with certain people (no apparent reason) and one of our females quack to get him to stop doing the deed. The other female is not stressing when he is on top . While I am not wording this too well, am wondering if anyone can define "bully drake"

Thank you for your input.

Here's the thread I started about my own drake with agression issues. It's towards me mostly.

He gets along great with his mate and watches out for the flock. So far he's still out there but may be replaced soon with someone who has less of an attitude.

If the females are ok with his behavior, or have learned how to keep him in line, I would not worry too much about it. But it's all about how much you want to put up with.

Thanks for your advice. I think he will be replaced...sad as it is. I don't want him to be naughty with the 4 chicks that are growing and (we have no proof) but he potentially stomped another drake to death. He is wonderfully protective of his girls but the blue hen just seems to want to get away after awhile.

Well we'll see in the near future ... we have a friend who will help us out if necessary. Thanks.
