In our lake we have a family of mallards. A mom with six babies, and they are the bullies of the lake.[IMG] Where there is food, they come barging in and pecking and fighting any unlucky duck who gets in their way. The "babies" look about 5-6 weeks old, which would make them 2-3 weeks older than my mallard. What I am wondering is this: At what point will my mallard be able to be around them without them killing him? They come into my yard and eat seed from the bird feeder. Sometimes I let them, if they don't act aggressive, but other times I run them off if they are too aggressive. These are the same ducks that my duck will be "living" with eventually so I'm wondering if it's better to run them off or let them come and eat?
