This isn't my first time owning and raising chickens, but my first time with so many different breeds!!! Right now I have 9, Olive Egger, Rainbow (Easter Egger?), Midnight Majesty Maran, Americana, Buckeye, Delaware, Speckled Sussex, Welsummer and Prairie Bluebell Egger ... Because of when they came in from the hatchery I have five 4 weeks old, three 3 weeks old and one 2 weeks ... When I had the first 6 together, I noticed my Welsummer (the LARGEST chick) with a raw and bloody butt so I started watching. My Olive Egger was continually pecking her bloody!! I separated the Welsummer, got her healed and reintroduced her all without issue. I would notice the Olive Egger peck all the other chicks, but specifically target the Welsummer TRYING to draw blood. When I got my last 3 chicks, I put them in a larger brooder at which point she started pecking all the other feathered chicks!! (Which I found strange as there 4 babies smaller than her) she would peck at their butt's to the point of the other chicks crying out and running from her. They have more than enough room, food and water, I offered treats, pecking blocks and vinegar in the water (I was told it tastes like blood and is supposed to prevent them from drawing blood) but nothing has worked. I was finally fed up and separated her in a box next to the others with some wire separating them so they can see and hear her. I had no issues whatsoever with the other 8 together when she was all alone in her box. After a week I put her back in and she STILL went after the others within a few minutes of me watching. So she's back in her box and I'm just stumped, I live in Buffalo NY so the weather is STILL freezing, and I haven't been able to take them out. Any and all suggestions are welcome!!! I don't want to get rid of her, but I can't handle her drawing blood ... I have no issues with any of the others!! I'm at a loss

I just got 4 new chicks 5 weeks ago to add to my existing flock.. 4 different breeds .. well the EE would violently attack the tiny SS ..they were the same age.. anyway, I had to separate too. I felt bad for the one alone but every time I would try to put it back in it would continue the same behavior! The SS seemed so much happier when the EE was no longer in there! I finally rehomed it and am glad to not have that worry anymore.. the stress on the SS and the EE being alone. It has had no problems at the new place..
