Bully

Help. Lost most of our flock to predictor. Reinforced our coop but had to wait for more chicks. Ginger a Buff Orp was lonely. The quarantine lifted and we got 3. Ginger took to them without effort. Due to extreme heat we lost poor little Ginger. 109 and triple digits for a week.
Wanted to replace her so we got a new chick same age as the others about 12 weeks. We slowly introduced her and thought all was well. Now the black one has become dominate and chases her from food and water. We gave her special care and now she loves humans more than her flock. She isolates herself. We gave her extra food to beef her up. Now we just try to let them work it out. Sylvia has to become part of the flock. But the bully is down right mean

What can be done about the bully?

Separate the bully for a few days so she will go lower in the pecking order.

What breed is your bully, and are you sure that it isn't a male? Also, some breed's are just meaner than other's. Do you have a picture of them that you could show us?

Not sure. She is all black. The newbie Sylvia lays black eggs. She is such a sweet soul. We bonded, can you tell. Had her in the house for a while but she needs to be outside.
Black bully chicken was in isolation today. Will do the same tomorrow. Have two Easter Eggers and one is Sylvia’s friend when they are together. Going to try to pair them again. She gives Sylvia confidence. I will take pictures. Sylvia is so delicate, grey and has feet feathers

This is Sylvia. It is shady but I was able to get her grey speckles. We have her in the coop. The others are outside but staying at the fence.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Our flock is in harmony. Sylvia is still timid but that is her nature. I plan on making her a fat hen this winter. .
Right now, expecting 111 on Tuesday
Lots of ice and we have shade and a fan
We freeze treats and they wade in the water getting them.

Sylvia didn’t make it. My family hid it from me. Went outside and she is not there. We are having extreme heat, 115 yesterday and 115 or more today. We have water and ice and fans. It was just too much for her I guess. I loved her, it’s hard when you favs die. We have worms in ice water pools. We have the fan. We have lots of shade. Not sure what more we could do. I didn’t name the three we have now.

I was wrong. She was hiding. Cannot tell you how happy I am. I just pray this heat breaks soon. Way too hot
