I have 10 female quail in a pin that has plenty of room for them. They have been together in this pin close to a year with no problems and a few days ago one of them started bullying the other quail I made hideouts for the quail to get away from the bully and it seemed to be working until I woke up this morning to one dead quail and one severely injured. I have separated the bully and injured one's to their self in different cages. Please give me advice on what to do in this situation and how to treat the injured quail. Her injury around her neck is a big hole from the pecking. I'm so upset with the bully quail that I don't won't to put her back in the pin with the others. ADVICE PLEASE....

Exactly how much room to you have? Some quail need at least 2 square feet per bird or more. If they feel cramped, they will turn cannibalistic.

Something is causing them stress, illness within the flock can also cause aggression.

Keep the bully separated for a while, let the flock calm down before putting her back in. If she continues, she may need to be permanently separated. Some quail have a "loose screw" and there is not much you can do about aggressive birds.
