Bumble foot and possible spreading infection

We'll be changing it out again later tonight so we'll be sure to pack more cream in there then. Should I continue to put hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol on it to kill surface stuff immediately?
No, you don't want to kill living flesh. Just wash with soapy water, salty water or hibiscrub (any of those will do) and rinse, dry with clean paper towels, pack with the cream and put the dressing on, then vetwrap.

ETA that plastic oral syringes (no needle) are great for squirting saline into the hole and flushing it out, much better than trying to stick a wriggly chicken's foot into a bowl of water.

When we had wet weather, I made a bootie out of duct tape to keep it clean and dry, but no need if they aren't wallowing in mud.
