So, I noticed one of my hens limping around. I quickly caught her, and found FIVE little scabs on her swollen feet. You can't really tell from the top of her foot, as most of the abscesses are on her toes. Any ways, Since she has so many ( 3 on one foot, and 2 on the other) Would it be better to just put her down, then to spend five days cutting open her foot, even when there's a possibility they'll get re-infected? Thanks for any advice.

Bumblefoot needs to be treated asap. here's a page with a wealth of information and a video to help you:

Oh, I know how to do it. My question was on whether it was worth the trouble. She has Five bumble foot scabs on her feet, two are on one toe, I don't even know If I could save the toe. Also, since each abscess takes an hour to empty, I'm looking at five hours of time, twenty dollars in supplies, and weeks of recovery. My question was whether it would be worth the trouble, or if I should just cull her.

A lot of that depends on her age, is she one of your good layers, etc. Only you can make that decsion...best of luck and keep us updated!
