Saturday night I came home and found one of my ducks was limping around. My boyfriend and I checked her out, and didn't see anything wrong with her. So we separated her from the rest of the group because one of my males was trying to "love" her.

Well, she hadn't seem to be eating too much since then, and today we moved her food closer to her so she wouldn't have to actually move to get it, and my boyfriend picked her up again to look at her legs.

One of her legs is completely swollen and her feet have wart looking things all over them. None of that was there Saturday. I looked up some pictures of bumble foot, and I don't think it looks too much like it, but maybe slightly like it.

So I guess my question would be would bumble foot cause her leg to be completely swollen? and what other diseases might cause warts on the bottom of her feet?

Also it's much more difficult because she's still really skittish and prefers we don't go near her let alone touch her.

Thank you guys.

I took a whole bunch of pictures, but she was fighting us, and its raining out too. So none of them came out too good. The first one is the bumps on her foot, and the next one is her swollen leg, it's at least double the size of her other leg. Both feet have the bumps too btw.

Looks like she's got some kind of infection, perhaps bumble foot that you weren't able to detect early.

I would be figuring out which kind of oral antibiotic to give her and what the dosage needs to be. Once it moves farther than just the foot, it is more of a danger to her health. Do you have a vet?

Sometimes too much attention from a drake can cause injuries, as well. Can you get her into a lukewarm tub of water for a while? That can help her move without weight on the leg, and it improves circulation, and ducks love water so it will help her cope better.

Some kind of vitamin supplement would also help, perhaps some unpasteurized apple cider vinegar in her water (a tablespoon in a half gallon, for example).
