Is this bumble foot? Her foot doesn’t seem that swollen but it does look like the cork part. Is there something I should put on it? 6BFA848A-E0F3-489C-95E0-36F9510E6698.jpeg 897966EB-2FB2-4954-9860-7554E6A184CE.png

Yes. When I see that on my chickens, I treat for bumblefoot. Someone had a unique way of treating it-they said, at roost time, put a salve called Prid (at Walgreens) on the foot. In the morning, as some plain neospirin. Repeat for a week, and the bumblefoot will heal. I’m going to try it. No need to wrap or surgically fix.

Could I just put either one of these on it? We have other farm animals that we put the iodine solution on to heal infections. image.jpg

Will either of the products I posted work? I have neosporin , but currently quarantined and can’t go out:/.

I don't get too aggressive when they look like this and there is no lameness. At this stage I'll just dab Durasole on it and observe. If there is swelling and lameness I will soak in epsom salt and apply a drawing salve, wrap it and check/change daily. I try to avoid cutting open as much as possible. If you do have to cut out it is recommended to use an antibiotic.

Ok. So I don’t have durasole so I may just use the products that I have. Surely it’ll help it a little right?
