Also Bird Vet Melbourne on YouTube sees chickens and other birds at their practice and sometimes goes over the after care for illnesses and injuries including pain relief. I rewatched the (really gross) bumble foot episode and unfortunately they didn’t cover after care for that specific patient. They do mention it on some of the other infection videos but they don’t give specific medication names.

I’ve given a small aspirin dose to the chickens that I’ve done surgery on and never had a problem with extra bleeding, but they have always been relatively small bumbles. If I have to take a chicken in to my vet for it I will be sure to ask what her recommendation is.
