My Chicken has a swollen foot she doesn’t stand on it very long, already took off the hard plug that was on top of foot and cleaned it really well wrapped it. It closed up and I thought she would get better. after all that it’s swollen again. I tried the epsom salt bath hard to hold her in the water for 20 minutes. I even injected her with penicillin shots that my vet gave me, but he doesn’t treat chicken. I feel so bad for her.

Look at the bottom of the foot. There should be a sore there. You have a couple of options here. Ive heard of some people using epsom salt baths frequently to remove the pus. The other option is to wrap the bird in a towel. Have a friend hold it. Use a scalpel and try to cut around the sore. Remove the pus plug and try to squeeze out all the infection you can. Bandage the foot and keep off the ground. Change the bandage frequently and keep it as antibacterial as possible. Best of luck
