Bumble foot?

I cut the foot and took the scab away but I don't see any plug or puss. I'm I doing something wrong?

This is a great article regarding treating a duck with bumblefoot. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/treating-bumble-foot-in-ducks.74245/

Treating bumblefoot takes time and patience. Make sure to pack that hole with neosporin, wrap it, and keep it dry. You might want to reach out to your vet as well. I'd be worried if my duck had an open wound like that and did not have antibiotics to use. I know there are antibiotics that you can pick up at tsc or a local farm store, but I haven't researched to know which ones. There are many threads mentioning them by name.
Please don't use rubbing alcohol in that wound. That would be very painful.

Thank you for the article. I think I cut into his foot too soon and should have continued with just soaking his foot. I used rubbing alcohol to clean my tools and the foot before I cut. He has triple antibiotic on his foot and I also used hydrogen peroxide and blu-kote. The wound looks like it is healing well, but he misses his flock.

Yep! He has two different types of boots coming this week so he should be a happy duck soon. He seems to be healing well!
