Day 7, bandage change. still swollen. removed the scab and squeezed. a decent amount of white puss, no kernel this time.
will this ever end?
wondering if there is anything more i should be doing besides disinfecting, draining, neosporin and bandaging?

I've just "operated" on one if my girls - got a flat looking kernel out - lots of stringy bits - couldn't see anything else - all cleaned and bandaged and walking on it more than earlier - cant believe how calm she was in hubby's arms - I take it from your posts above the kernel thing may grow back? There was no puss just fresh blood - I've padded her foot where I've cut and she seems to have coped well - ran straight for a drink bless her - I felt like a voddy or two after
Do you think I've caught it in time before it was too bad hence no puss ?

are you doing Epsom salt soaks on the foot?

Perhaps squeezing it ruptured some tissues and spread some infection? I would not squeeze so hard maybe?
