Hi all,

First off - apologies for the dirty chicken feet, it’s been so mucky here that it’s been impossible to keep up on but I’m just about to go give her a foot bath.

One of my BCM hens (Feathered feet) has a scabby thing on her foot - it almost looks like a callus, but dirt is caked around it that seems fully attached to her skin. There doesn’t seem to be any swelling or redness, she’s walking and behaving normally.

First pic was taken at time of discovery, second pic after wiping with warm water and mild soap.

How should I proceed?

Looks kind of like a callus.

Probably give her feet a nice soak and wipe the dirt off, so you can see what's dirt and what's callus?

Updated photos after an epsom salt soak

I also noticed she has them on both feet in the exact same spots! One is a little worse than the other, though. Super weird!
