Bumblefoot and eating the eggs?

One of my girls has Bumblefoot and we are treating it, but since it is a staph infection we were wondering if the eggs are safe to eat.

yoiu may have eaten eggs from bumblefoot birds before--who were asymptomatic--and didn't realize it. it is common and is present even before we detect it by a limping bird, etc. unless we inspect our birds every day...........i've eaten bumblefoot eggs and am still here. but would not eat eggs if treating bird with antibiotics other than mere topical ointments. am doing triple antibiotic cream right now and penn g injections; after series of injections i'll wait a couple weeks befiore eating her eggs again
