Bumblefoot bad enough for a veterinarian?

Hello. I have a Deathlayer hen that has bumblefoot on both her feet. The pads are swollen, and while the left foot appears to stay the same, the right foot has swollen even more since I started treating it four days ago. I have her on a ten-minute Epsom salt and Chlorhexidine soak every day, then spray her foot with antibacterial spray for chickens, and afterward I use medical tape and gauze pads to cover her foot. Do I just need to up the amount of times I soak her feet per day, or do I need something stronger to treat this?

When lesions are small and shallow you can sometimes treat topically. When they are bigger and deeper you usually have to remove the scab and clean out underneath, remove any pus present, and then fill the hole with triple antibiotic ointment or sugardine, and wrap. You change bandages, reapply medication, daily, and clean out again if needed. It can be a slow process of healing. You can try the tricide neo, see if it works (again, slow process). If it doesn't, you will need to do the clean out. You can always get vet care if any of that makes you uncomfortable, but most of the time it's treatable at home.
