What made you happy today?

The mold in the skylight is gone! I got some new shoes to help with heel pain, and they feel fantastic. Had a loaded pizza with vegetables, goat cheese, and avocado.

Friday the 13ths have historically been good days for me and today was yet another one

Same! They're almost always a great day for me.

The power came back on. That's always a happy thing.

I went to a nice (equals expensive) yarn store and got yarn to make a hat for my friend who is going to lose her hair to chemo. It was sunny, not much traffic (Saturday), and I had a good time.

Found the last book (technically the first book) in a series that I've been looking for.
The internet archives comes through again.
Now to enjoy them in order.

This is a silly little BYC one, but it's always a nice burst of happiness for me when I come across a sexing thread in which the poster is certain they have some cockerels, but is told by everyone that the birds in question are all pullets. It's one of those rare times when a person must be thrilled to be told they're wrong.

I finished my friend's chemo hat. Now I just need nice enough weather tomorrow to drive into town to go to the Post Office to mail it to her.

I have PLENTY of the yarn left over, so I'm going to make her another hat. I'm lookin for something a little lacy, cooler for summer. She lives in Illinois.

Ours flickered a few times but stayed on. Two of my sisters lost power for a few hours. We have quite a lot of trees down everywhere and roads are blocked. Our grill even blew over and broke. The Ohio Turnpike was even closed to high profile, very large vehicles

I'm sorry you and your sisters - and your whole area! - are feeling the wrath of this storm. Hope all come through it okay. Made me happy yesterday when, after a tornado warning, the storm traveled north and east of us.

Everything I put my hands to today decided to add an extra ten steps to whatever project, but not the soup! The soup bubbled, behaved, and became edible.

And the turkeys decided the new temporary nests are meh, but acceptable! Hooray for less egg-hunts.
