Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Morning...Well, this morning was a disappointment to wake up to. :he I think when I opened the duck hut I heard "WTF IS THIS SH$$%$%$%$^$&T!!!" They are not happy either. Their 3-4" prediction is more like 6" in our area and still snowing.

My gander has been crabby as it is and let me tell you he had a FIT this morning when the door was opened. I could hear his flappy feet stomping up behind me in a hurry. Most people would have butchered him by now...I find his hissy fits to be quite entertaining. ❤️

No eggs yet from the ducks or my only goose. :idunno

Hope everyone is handling the snow ok.

What kind of geese do you have?

My geese always started laying mid February….. perhaps there is a hidden nest or your ‘she’ is actually a ‘he’…..

We got about 5" today (Friday). Hubby got that cleaned up.

We figure he should go out Sunday morning around 9:00 and plow again as that should be the halfway point of around 9" and there's a small break around then. Shortly after he's done, it'll fill all up again. We've got a 4-wheeler with a plow that works great, but wouldn't be so good with 2 feet of snow.

We got around 8", not too wet. I've shoveled a path from the back door of the house to the coop and then I dug out the boards I put in the run for the chickies to walk on. I told them its suppose to be 40 this week and things are looking up. I just wish they knew what I was saying :fl

I have 2 geese and they are a pair. (white one is male-gray is female) She laid eggs last year and they were fertile. (neighbor hatched them out)

If she does have a nest outside the huts- it is buried in snow.
I cleaned their huts Saturday before the storm...no eggs in either hut.

They all have been locked up since Saturday night- with food and water. Right now there are 6ft drifts all over. It is a mess by us. Hopefully they can go out for a bit this afternoon while I clean up their water/food mess in hut. I don't usually put water and food in their huts.

Looks just like the pair I had…. I really miss them, they were imprinted to people so they would hang out with us when we were outside.

~25” here.

30" here. Hubby couldn't use the 4-wheeler/plow so did the snowblower. After the plow came through, we couldn't see the mailbox lol. That coop in the back has HWC topped pens so he was worried they'd collapse but it actually started falling through. Chickens/ducks were kept inside.
