Hi everyone!
This is our first experience with bumblefoot. Our girl free range most of the day so I’m guessing they got the infection from foraging in the woods. I’m very conscious to keep everything clean- I clean the coop every morning and the run every 3 days or so.
I noticed this spot on each of foot of our ISA brown and read a lot about bumblefoot removal (both surgical and non.) we wanted to try non-invasive treatment first. She wasn’t limping or showing any sunptoms
We soaked her feet in epsom salt for 20 minutes and my fiancé tried to remove the infection. He said the skin under the scab looked fresh and light pink? Instead of continuing to dig, we put some drawing salve on it and bandaged her up. We plan to check on it tomorrow.
Is it possible there isn’t anything else to remove? pictures of before and the scab we removed.
