Request for Bumblefoot Advice

I use Durasole (a product for horse hooves). It is a blue liquid that stains so wear gloves. Apply 1-2 drops on the lesion once a day for five days. Do not bandage unless the tissue is severely damaged. This is off label use and I don't know the egg withdrawal. I use this on my chickens' foot lesions with good results. View attachment 4188956
Thank you! I will absolutely look into this. I just assumed I’d tried everything but antibiotics at this point, but I’m glad to think there may be something else that might do.

I think if you are wanting Oxytetracycline Hydroxide, you'd probably need to ask your vet for a script or try the fish flakes.

You can, I believe, still purchase LA200 (Liquamycin/Oxytetracycline) at stores like TSC. LA200 is a long-acting antibiotic used in cattle, it's meant to be given by injection once every 3 days.

I'm not sure what the difference between the fish flakes and the injectable would be, many people use LA200 to treat respiratory symptoms, but Oxy can also be used to treat Staph infection unless it's resistant, then you may need to have some testing to find out what antibiotic would be most compatible.
Thank you so much, I will look into the LA200. I’m glad there is a way to get the antibiotic without a prescription!

I mentioned that I would post pictures. Here is Helmi’s foot that seems to be swelling at the webbing.

It almost looks like a mosquito bite. I’ve seen some awful looking bumblefoot photos online and it makes me think she’s not doing too badly, but I’m afraid of it getting any worse.
