bumblefoot in chicken

A few weeks ago i performed surgery for two bumblefoot sores on one of my chicken's feet...I have been soaking her feet in chlorhexidine and water for about 20 min every night then spraying theracyn and neosporin and bandaging them. she spends the night inside but goes out in the day. the lumps have not gotten better. the brown scabs are still present and the area around it is white after soaking in the diluted chlorhexidine. What should i do? Should i keep bandaging her and hope it will heal?

some stringy bits came out of the one without the plug, and some pus came out of the one with the plug

It can take some time treating bumblefoot. I would keep soaking and using the chlorhexidene but also put plain Neosporin ointment on the wound, and keep bandaging every other day.

ok thx... when do you think i should see the swelling/scabbing go down?

It just depends. If I get the infection out after doing the surgery, I just keep the dressing on until the skin closes.
