Hey all, we did bumblefoot surgical kernel removal on our largest 10mo old hen on October 5. We have been doing Microcyn spray and bandage replacement with a hydrocolloid bandage and vetwrap for both feet every 3-4 days. I'm attaching photos before surgery, after first bandage change, and now after the bandage change tonight. One foot was much worse, but both appear to be continuing to heal. She continued to lay eggs while isolated for the first week but hasn't laid much since rejoining the flock.
Do we need to remove the healthy looking scab or just keep doing what we are doing? The second to last photo shows the worse foot with a small swollen spot that has been on the top the entire time.
Thanks!
