Hi friends, my oldest rooster was limping today so I went to check on him and found this lump which I think is bumblefoot. I am soaking him in an espom salt bath now but I worried it is too far along. Can I get your opinion? I don't want him to suffer needlessly.

Yes it's bumble foot. Soaking alone won't get it out. From the picture it looks like the better version where there is a pus core that can be removed. It you get it soft enough you might be able to pull the core out easily. Then pack it with Prid drawing slave, or plain antibiotic ointment. I have been using chlorine dioxide for a very stubborn case and it is working very well.

I think there is an article in this group of articles. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/categories/injuries-diseases-cures.29/

If not you can search bumble foot for treatment options.
