Hello.
All of the sudden, I noticed that only the front center toe on one of my hens feet is swollen in the middle, near the joint. My local avian doctor, without looking at it, said that if it appeared all of the sudden, that it could be a possible scorpian bite.
It's been 2 days since I've noticed & doesn't appear to get any worse or better. Any thoughts?

I don't think it is bumble foot...
I hope not. My local avian doctor said that bumblefoot affects the whole foot, including the pad. The skin on her foot is a light orange color. The bulging out area on her toe appears to be pink in color & I can see her little veins. I have touched it & it feels warm. It feels soft. Not sure if blood would come out if it were to be opened or not. Don't worry...I'm not doing anything yet. I'll be taking her in, if needed.

i'm leaning toward like a sting or a spider bite or something to that extent...
