Bumblefoot question

Since it’s an infection is an antibiotic needed?

This is only based off of my personal experience and what I read while treating my hen. I would first try the epsom soaks, if you don't see improvement then I would go forward with removing the infection, packing the wound with antibiotic ointment, wrapping with vetwrap (the stretchy wrap that sticks to itself without adhesive) try to keep area clean as it heals and you can administer antibiotics to prevent secondary infection. I would only go the extra steps if at first you don't succeed personally.

Here’s those pics turns out she does have a spot in the pad of her foot.

Great photos do you have Epsom salt .. only place I find the triple antibiotic is dollar store without pain killer. Soak like 20 minutes then try to with tweezers or your finger nail.. there will be blood but the core kernel is in there .. have your kit ready before you start best of luck we will be here al the time

Do you think I should remove them?
Tough call and personal preference...if not inflamed(very red skin) I've left them alone and they've healed.
Some will suggest 'major' surgery by cutting out the cores.
Others will suggest a regime of daily soaking, antibiotic ointment, and wrapping.
It's up to you to choose which way to go.

Really a tough call your choice you can treat it but both sides will be a goal and tougher to achieve try soaking maybe twice a day if it softens decide if you want to treat one but look at your other birds a bit closer may be others

About 2 weeks ago I noticed my hen Pearly Pearl limping so I googled and it suggested it could be Bumblefoot so I soaked her foot in epsom salt and put some Vetericyn on it and some drawing salve on the bottom of her foot and the next day checked it and noticed yellow puss coming from a spot on the bottom of her foot so I cleaned her up and repeated the process but next day noticed nothing I goggled images of Bumblefoot and it looked nothing like that but I noticed a hard tab coming from the top of her foot between her toes and then seen a swollen area around the tab so my question is does this look like Bumblefoot and if so how do I treat it or do I need to try and do surgery on it which terrifies me! Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
