I have removed my first bumblefoot. Her toe is infected. I squeezed on it for awhile and nothing else came out other than a little blood and puss. I filled the hole with antibiotic ointment, covered it with gauze and wrapped with some vet wrap. Is there anything else I need to do? The first pics are the plug that came out. The last is her toe before I closed it up.

I would keep her on clean dry bedding for a few of days. Check the foot daily and rewrap. After a couple of days you can soak the foot in an epsom salts bath to help with swelling.

It would be a good idea to take a picture daily when you check the foot so you can tell if it's healing well. Pictures help with memory:)
