Hi I did this to my hen

There is still white stuff in her foot
How do I remove it?

Good job! There may be some stuff left in there. Keep changing the wrap, and make sure you're putting some neosporin on that open area. :). Clean and wrap a couple of times a week unless it gets wet and muddy. Change it then. Good luck.

When you do a bandage change, try to get a picture of the foot and bumble. If there is still pus in there then you may need to repeat treatments until you can get it all. I have found that for some really stubborn ones, packing the hole with sugardine and covering with a duoderm bandage before wrapping, helps discourage more pus and will sometimes draw it out.

I will get a picture tonight. Last time I replaced the bandage there was definitely white stuff still in it. The scab part is no longer there and has not returned.

Will I have to dig all the stuff out or will the 3x antibiotic ointment and the vetercyn spray keep it safe and contained?

I am so against hydrogen peroxide. It eats away at skin, bad and good. Learned that with a son with Spina Bifida. Not too many vets will suggest it either. Will see if I can find an article on it. Do warm soapy water, then the neosporin. :).
