Bumblefoot troubles

There is still white stuff in her foot
How do I remove it?

Good job! There may be some stuff left in there. Keep changing the wrap, and make sure you're putting some neosporin on that open area. . Clean and wrap a couple of times a week unless it gets wet and muddy. Change it then. Good luck.

When you do a bandage change, try to get a picture of the foot and bumble. If there is still pus in there then you may need to repeat treatments until you can get it all. I have found that for some really stubborn ones, packing the hole with sugardine and covering with a duoderm bandage before wrapping, helps discourage more pus and will sometimes draw it out.

I will get a picture tonight. Last time I replaced the bandage there was definitely white stuff still in it. The scab part is no longer there and has not returned.

Will I have to dig all the stuff out or will the 3x antibiotic ointment and the vetercyn spray keep it safe and contained?

You will need to get it out. If there is any pus in there it will just keep regenerating and the foot will not heal.

I am so against hydrogen peroxide. It eats away at skin, bad and good. Learned that with a son with Spina Bifida. Not too many vets will suggest it either. Will see if I can find an article on it. Do warm soapy water, then the neosporin. .
