Gonna try to make this long story short- have a very sick, possibly dehydrated ?? leghorn. Backstory and history: Tues. of this week I noticed 7 of my 9 1.5 year old hens had mild bumblefoot, from some with just reddened pads, to 3 or 4 with a fair sized scab but not much swelling overall (I've seen worse). Did surgery on the ones with scabs and veterycin and neosporin to the exterior with a wrap for those with just redness and no scab to watch them. Can't afford Tricide neo dips for all of them right now, so we're on a wait and see with epsom soaks and dressing changes for all every 48 hours. While in isolation pens in my cool garage (it's 90 outside), I noticed a lot of them developed wet, discolored/greenish poops like diarrhea. Also, two white leghorns developed vent gleet, which they pretty much do at the drop of a hat, so I treated it as usual and added butt-sprays with athlete's foot spray to the mix twice a day for them. They all still acted fine though so I gave them some rooster booster vitamins/electrolytes in their water (don't want to do ACV due to the heat and calcium leaching potential) and continued as normal with the normal food/water routine. Today (Sat.) I let them return to a perfectly cleaned out coop and run that's been sanitized and aired out since Wed. for their safety- all were wrapped on their feet so I figured it was fine.
Now (Still Sat.): While transferring leghorns outside, I noticed one of my very mild non-surgical bumblefoot leghorns immediately became stumbly and opted to lay down rather than walk. I took her inside after only about 5 minutes outside in the heat and cooled her off back in her iso cage. She pooped a really very watery (almost all water, no blood, much more watery than cecal poop) diarrhea, then sat down and laid an egg and then acted ok again for a while, so I rewrapped her feet in case her bandages were uncomfortable, and let her back out, and she started to act oddly again. Returned her to iso and she now will not drink. She's just sitting on the floor of the cage, prefers not to walk around but can if she thinks I'm going to bother her, but when she does it's still stumbly/off balance. I got her to eat some water/electrolyte-soaked bread, but she still refuses to drink and I think she's dehydrated from the diarrhea, but I'm not sure. Her comb's totally nice and red and she's bright eyed. Any advice?? No idea what I'm looking at here. All the other hens are fine outside with a fan on their run and cold water available. They're obviously very hot, but acting overall normal and fine except for this one.
Please advise me!!
