Bumblefoot

I also have a very clay-ey run. I would put some comforter in there, but my coop slopes down hill :/

My enclosure is on a slight slope, I increased the sides by mounting 2x4 (only cause it was cheapest) on top of the base. My enclosure is really simple. The low end built up more than the back/high end, it's 2x4 on top of 2x4 and I can add more need be. Depending on how much of a slope, you could add plywood cut to add on your low side to increase the height. Just a thought but LOVE DLM!

Thanks. I have not thought of that. :)

Hi all, I just wanted to put this out there, two of my chickens had bumblefoot on both feet and I didn't know how to do the surgery so I took one chicken to the vet and had him do the surgery and he taught me how to do it right for all of those that make films out there please make sure that you've already been to the vet to be shown how to do it right because some of those films out there were totally wrong and I'm so glad I did what I did and took my chicken to the vet. Hope all is going well for everybody!
Hi I have a chicken with a bumblefoot, it had surgery 2 times , its limping again badly and now Im thinking of starting amoxi/clav does anyone know a the right dose to give

My chicken's bumblefoot happened after letting my flock free range. Maybe controlling the environment like you are doing will help.
